finding my home

i recently took a trip to my old stomping grounds in beverly, MA to visit friends. it was one of those things where it felt so great to be there, but coming back to new york felt right, too. just what the doctor ordered, if you ask me. i took the fung wah bus, of course. first thing i did was get some FOOD. it's undisputed fact that the best sunday breakfast around is at tryst on cabot street (dinner's no slouch, either). http://www.trystbeverly.com mary and i stopped by to see my best friend ingrid ruling as a waitress and chef peter capalbo. boy, was he surprised! mary got the southwestern frittata, i opted for a piave and ham omelette and a bloody mary.

so...i have this blog

at the urgings of far-away friends i am finally a blogger. i just moved to new york city, a great town in which to see things and eat things. i've been here for... 2 months? i don't know, something like that. i'm still getting settled, as you can see.

when you live in this kind of state it's nice to take in pleasant sights like this weird building i walk by every day.
